Chacha Akaza (藜 チャチャ Akaza Chacha) is one of the supporting characters of the Maken-Ki! series. She is a member of the Student Council Security Division and a sophomore student at Tenbi Academy, as well as a powerful ability user, possessing the Maken known as Compressor.
When she first meets Takeru Ooyama, Inaho Kushiya and Kengo Usui, Chacha is seen throwing giant shuriken and nearly hits Takeru and Kengo.
She is best friends with Kimi Sato, whom she met through their shared love of manga.
Appearance[]
Chacha has dark skin, gray hair tied in a side ponytail, and green eyes. She also stands out for her height, being the tallest girl among all her classmates. Chacha has the largest breasts among all the students at Tenbi Academy, surpassing even Haruko. She currently has an H-cup bust. The only female characters to surpass her are Minori Rokujou and Aki Nijou, who have I-cup and K-cup busts respectively, something she is quite proud of.
She often wears her school uniform, but when she doesn't, her outfits tend to show off as much of her body as possible.
Personality[]
Chacha is well known for her enthusiastic and carefree personality. She's always seen smiling and is generally very relaxed, being one of the few girls in the series who doesn't mind being seen naked. She's also very into cosplay, as she's seen wearing various costumes.
Chacha can be a bit extreme or drastic at times. This is demonstrated when she puts Takeru in a life-or-death situation as a way of training him, or when she exposes Haruko's breasts in public to joke about how her breasts must have "a lot of milk," despite later stating that she wasn't aware that Haruko wasn't wearing a bra. This was not the last time Chacha touched one of her classmate's private areas- while wrestling Azuki Shinatsu, she stroked her opponent's genitals. The purpose of this touching seems to be exclusively playful.
Like her best friend, Kimi Sato, she loves manga and cosplay, a love that bonded them the day they met. In Chacha's case, she enjoys wearing different outfits.

Compressor: Taking the form of a glove, Compressor allows Chacha to change the shape and density of inanimate objects, such as changing a small broken plank into an enormous board.
Physical Abilities: Chacha has shown to have immense strength and power as she beat an a opponent three times her size in an arm wrestle within a sec with ease.
Martial Arts Expert: Chacha is very good at hand-to-hand combat and possesses incredible strength.

Etymology[]
- Chacha's surname Akaza means "Bun" (藜).
Trivia[]
- Chacha's measurements (Bust, waist and hip) are 99-62-93, making her the girl with the largest measurements among all her classmates.
- Along with Haruko, Chacha has an H-cup bust, however, their bust sizes are different. Haruko 's breasts are two centimeters smaller (97cm) than Chacha's (99cm).
- Chacha is the tallest girl in all of Maken-ki. Conversely, her best friend Kimi is one of the shortest.
- Another interesting fact is that Chacha has the largest breasts among her teammates, while Kimi has the smallest breasts.
- Chacha is known to be an exchange student, but it has never been specified which country she comes from.
- On a few occasions, as hinted by Azuki in Episode 04 of the second season, mention was made of a possible lesbian relationship between Chacha and Kimi, due to their love for manga and the fact that they are almost always together.
- In chapter 60 of the manga and in the fourth episode of the second season of the anime, Chacha cosplays as Manya from Dragon Quest IV
- In Episode 11 it is seen that she was able to solve a Rubik's cube in less than a second.
